The renter is responsible for handwashing, drying, and returning dishes and cutlery.
Kitchen rental does NOT include use of the stove, oven, or dishwasher.
* Front hall and gymnasium rentals require a $150.00 refundable damage deposit. This deposit must be paid within one week of the renter’s initial booking. Refund of the damage deposit will be determined after an inspection of the premises. The renter is responsible for any damage exceeding $150.00.
CONFERENCE OR LUNCHEON RENTAL
Facility rentals for conferences or luncheons are free of charge when ALL of the following criteria are met:
1. The event takes place on a weekday (Monday - Friday) during the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
2. Over 50 people are in attendance.
3. Lunch for over 50 people is catered by the MJCCC at a rate of $15.00 (including PST) per person.
The luncheon menu will include a selection of sushi, cucumber salad, chow mein, chicken teriyaki, vegetable and green tea.
GENERAL POLICY NOTES
1. All renters must be a current member of the MJCCC.
2. Events must be scheduled within established session hours:
Morning session hours: 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Afternoon session hours: 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Evening session hours: 6:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.
Access to the MJCCC premises is allowed only during the above session hours.
3. Facility rental requests must be made at least three weeks (21 days) in advance of the requested event date. All requests should be directed to the MJCCC Administrator.
4. A rental contract must be signed by the renter and approved by the MJCCC in order to validate any rental arrangements. If a damage deposit is required, this deposit must be paid within one week (7 days) of the renter’s initial booking.
5. The renter is responsible for set-up prior to the event. Set-up the day before the event can be arranged during normal MJCCC operating hours if there are no other events scheduled. Set-up time required outside of the centre’s operating hours is subject to a $10.00 per hour fee. All decorations must meet the approval of the MJCCC Administrator. No duct tape is to be used
6. Renters are responsible for set-up and clean-up of the premises. Tables, chairs, and other equipment should be returned to storage after the event. The MJCCC is not liable for any losses due to theft or injury.
7. Following the event, payment in full is expected from the renter upon receipt of the invoice from the MJCCC.
8 .Payment for any damages and/or excessive clean-up after the event is the responsibility of the renter.
9. The MJCCC does not provide the following services: waitressing, valet parking, hall decorations, presentation and service of food not prepared by the MJCCC.

LIQUOR SERVICE
Renters are encouraged to supply their own liquor and mix under their own special liquor permit.
Option A: Cash Bar (under MJCCC’s permit)
All proceeds remain with the MJCCC.
Option B: Special Permit
Renter is responsible for providing his/her own liquor license, liquor, mix, ice, cups, napkins, and bartenders. Proceeds remain with the renter.
Option C: Bartender Service
Renter is responsible for providing his/her own liquor license, liquor, mix, ice, cups, and napkins. The MJCCC provides a minimum of two bartenders ($50.00 per bartender per session). Proceeds remain with the renter.

** Off-site equipment, clothing, and miscellaneous rentals require a $50.00 refundable damage deposit. This deposit and the total rental fee must be paid upon pick-up of the items. Refund of the damage deposit will be determined after an inspection of the items. The renter is responsible for any damage exceeding $50.00.
